Jeffrey Teves, Board Treasurer
Jeff works closely with the Atlanta practice to implement EY's global audit approach and efficiently managing over 40,000 hours of assurance engagements with SEC financial reporting requirements.
Jeff is an assurance senior manager in the US-Central practice with more than 12 years of experience serving a variety of global clients in the insurance services, professional services, biotechnology, and medical technology industries. He has served in these industries since starting with EY in 2010. He has served clients based out of his hometown of Atlanta throughout his career with EY. These clients have included both private equity backed and publicly traded companies.
Jeff has extensive experience with SEC reporting, including initial public offerings, business combinations, international audit coordination, segment reporting, revenue recognition, goodwill and intangible asset impairments, equity transactions, share based compensation, and internal controls reporting. Clients that he currently works on include: Crawford & Company, Vero Biotech, Clearside Biomedical, Inc., and Stimlabs, Inc.
Outside of his focus on assurance related-work, Jeff serves as the chairman of the finance committees for Vacmobile and the East Atlanta Kids Club in Atlanta, GA. Jeff focuses on bringing value beyond the audit to his clients by sharing relevant, insightful thought leadership, as well as first-hand experiences.
Jeff holds Bachelors in Accountancy and a Masters in Accountancy with a specialization in audit from University of Georgia.
He is a licensed CPA in Georgia and a member of the AICPA and the Georgia Society of CPAs.
Within EY, Jeff has serves as one of the digital deployment champions for the Central region.
